Canoe Day, Saturday, June 23, 2012

The Weymouth Heighs Club is sponsoring:

Canoe Day

on Saturday, June 23 at 9:00 am till 12:00 pm.

Every scout and adult needs to provide their own vest style a lifejacket; age and weight appropriate; every child needs an adult partner.

Reminder Canoes do tip over:

Please do not bring electonics ie: cameras, cellphones, DS's.

There will be a breif safety session before your canoe trip.

The Webelos 1 and 2s are responsible for desserts.

Additionally, the Webelo 1s are also responsible for set up of the tables (each year the W1 handle this duty). Please be at the gym at 2:00 pm.

Evening of Comedy to sponsor the Weymouth Heighs Club

Please join the Weymouth Heights Club for an Evening of Comedy, Music, and Dancing featuring comedians: Mark Riley, Patty Ross and Company along with D.J. Shannon Toland of Red Hot Entertainment. March 3, 2012 - At the Weymouth Elks, 1197 Washington Street, Weymouth, MA 02189.... Tickets $20.00 each, with all proceeds benefitting the three scouting organizations sponsored by the Club.

Klondike Derby

Congratulations to the Webelos II for their outstanding performance at Saturday's Klondike Derby. They completed all the events in record time and demonstrated skills that scouts significantly older than them were struggling with. Great Job Boys.

Religious Awards

We would all like congratulate Jacob Preble for completing his religious medal, the Aleph, on Scout Friday, at Congregation Sha'aray Shalom. Jacob did a great job reciting his prayer with his Rabbi.


A number of Pack 2 cub scouts received their religious medal at Immaculate Conception Church on Scout Sunday. These boys should also be congratulated for their hard work. The following scouts earned the Light of Christ award:

THANK YOU BRIDGE STREET TIRE & ALIGNMENT!

The Webelo 1s visited Bridge Street Tire and Alignment to finish up their Handyman requirements.  Mr. Kingsbury and his team is very knowledgeable went above and beyond when he agreed to help the group.  It was a pleasure working with them.   The boys had a great time and learned lots of new things.
